Hey groovicutilipsticators: here is a just advance interview re: "Time Management"....

JA interviewer: "How can I learn to manage my time better?"

KD: "Actually I am so happy you asked... I have experience with that difficult and tenacious problem. You are a f*cking genius! I am soo fond of youuuuu! I believe the problem of time management stems from extra intelligence, creativity, and greed and ego. It is not necessarily a bad phenomenon, if we create value with it. I have three recommendations:

1) Focus on doing things you are proud of. Focus on the best stuff and get absorbed and act quickly and thoroughly, and stop on time. For example, although my days at Berklee are mindbogglingly hectic, I put my heart into it so it all gets done successfully and quickly... therefore, I cannot engage in timewasting activities, then, cause I cannot be distracted from my artistic pedagogical mission... If there's no time left over for things other than the things which provide me with fulfillment and peace of mind and happiness, then who gives a f*ck? As long as I am advancing forward towards human happiness(not just my own) I have solved my time management problem for the moment. Don't you think so?
Tip #2) Plan well and be on time. I believe a good plan is NOT overly cluttered (things often take literally twice as long as I thought they would. I plan to arrive early to compensate for my creative tendancy to focus on my own creativity rather than harmonizing with my immediate environment and COMPLETING THE TASK AT HAND. Every morning I have scheduled a (BRIEF) TIME TO PLAN :-)
-SUGGESTED READING : "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People " by Stephen Covey.
Tip #3... I refer to my self directives constantly such as "!PREPARATION ACTION RESOLUTION (in the long run, stuff gets done and I have time for the stuff I feel is important). - such as "¡MOVE ALONG!" - "¡DONE DEAL!" and here's one I use alot if I want to accomplish the things that I want to accomplish:......................"¡CUT!"
.............................................. LOL. I am still enjoying learning to PRIORITIZE WITH FIERCE DETERMINATION over my bad habits, with courage in daily life, and with compassion and confidence and firmness in my dealings with others. "¡JUST ADVANCE!" "¡NEVER GIVE UP!" -peace out-
