1-15-00. It's Martin Luther King Day... Martin Luther King is my hero... My family and I used to march from time to time as part of the civil rights movement in the 60's yo. I usta think everybody did, then I grew up and found out it was a proud part of American history and I played my own individual small but important part in it.

I am convinced that Martin Luther King would be proud of his family and those of us people of all races who work to achieve his dream. EQUALITY. JUSTICE. HAPPINESS. FULFILLMENT. JOY. FREEDOM. LOVE. PROSPERITY.

Let me share with you a poem I wrote to remind us to dialogue and pursue the "mountaintop" of salvation from our wars and misery, violence hatred and poverty: Let's Just Advance, yo!... Hi Richard Cummings, here's the poem I promised. You are the sweetest and baddest cousin (among several other sweetest and baddest cousins -including you Cynthia!-)

Let's take for example the Purple Rain.
To some it's water, to others, rain.
To some it's tears from others' pain.
For many it's dangerous, because it's hot
For others it's fun and still others, not.

Evil can destroy, but not if we win;
The evil and the victor are both within...
...AND WITHOUT...
The great potential for change lies within.
But it's hard enough to change OURSELVES;
Can we ever hope to change anything else?

Let's CHANGE and GROW and INSPIRE ONE ANOTHER,
To do our best to understand one another.
Maybe we can learn from one another,
Maybe we can TEACH one another,
But by all means let's dialogue so that we can REACH one another.

Life has many aspects. Which ever ones we see
Let's advance together towards true prosperity.

Maybe you think I'm wrong and I think I'm right,
But at least let's advance through listening and dialogue.
Maybe you disagree: so be it,
If we both take even one step
Towards expanding our understanding,
We're already advancing anyway, so
Let's DO IT ...LET'S ADVANCE!

A whirlwind of inescapable misery for some
Overpopulation for others
"What about this overcrowded land?
Life full of poverty. Mercy me.

Let's expand our vision towards understanding and empathy.

Should we change or rearrange?
Or should we let go and go with the flow?
Will somebody else fix it one day?
Does it matter anyway?

For some it's destructive, for some it's bliss.
For some it's just a waste of extra time and a kiss
For some it's a profound human sexuality
To others it's a sign that the end is near.

Which way do you look at it?
Which ever way that is, LET'S GROW TOGETHER
To see what we can see and be all we can be.
And do our best... TOGETHER! ...Shall we?...

..."CAN WE ALL GET ALONG?"...

Can we create Justice in our environment?
YES?
NO?
MAYBE?
NOW?
SOON?
LATER?

Life has may aspects. Whichever ones we see:
LETS MOVE
LET'S START
LET'S GROW
LET'S GO
LET'S ADVANCE TOGETHER towards peace security,
a happy life and prosperity...

...SHALL WE?...

Some of us see life from some of these perspectives.
Some of us see life from ALL of these perspectives...
But ALL of us can advance...
SO...
LET'S DO IT!
